Iverson Catering reaches far beyond the bounds of the Lowcountry, offering global catering services to our client base. Our Utah location really starts buzzing each January when the quaint ski village of Park City gets transformed into the stage for the world-renowned Sundance Film Festival.

Iverson Catering has produced many high end and reputable events during the Sundance Film Festival, ranging from high profile, celebrity-studded red carpet soirees to intimate seated dinners for some of the film industry’s most famous stars. Some of the highlights of the 2006 festival included huge galas for Entertainment Weekly magazine and the William Morris talent agency, as well as private dinner parties for celebrity guests such as Cameron Diaz, Justin Timberlake, Danny Masterson, Lucy Liu, Dennis Quaid, and William H. Macy. We also managed on-going hospitality venues for the duration of the ten-day festival for In Style magazine, Intel, AOL, and Hot House Productions, among many others.

Working as an Executive Chef for the United States Olympic Committee at the USA House during the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens, Greece, Chef Iverson and a team of accomplished chefs dished out gold medal cuisine from a makeshift outdoor kitchen situated in an urban alley. He plated gourmet six-course dinners from a solar-powered, broom-closet sized, open kitchen with no running water during his tenure as Executive Chef at the award winning Viking Yurt in Park City, Utah. Needless to say, Chef Iverson is no stranger to working under conditions that most would consider unsuitable at best.

The calm demeanor and creative thinking that Chef Iverson brings into the workplace each day continues to make our execution of the unthinkable a common reality in locations such as golf courses, backyards, and city streets. Iverson explains, “I really enjoy the challenge of creating a memorable experience complimented by world-class innovative cuisine, in less than ideal conditions. It is so nice to see guests enjoying themselves as much or more than they would in a more conventional and civilized venue.”

One of our shining moments was the Grand Opening celebration for the Tuhaye Park signature golf community. The three-day affair for 600 guests included lavish dinners, open bars, fireside marshmallow roasts for the kids, and a hopping concert by Kool & the Gang. Furthermore, the entire event was 100% strictly Kosher! Supervised by a rabbi at all times, our chefs prepared the entire event under strict orthodox practices, working out of two separate, makeshift kitchens: one for meats, and one for dairy products and all other foods. The end result was stunning!
